Anonymity

As you may know, SharePoint's not really designed to be a public server. By that I mean you're not supposed to access it anonymously. Of course, YOU probably don't want to have to supply a username and password just to comment on my blog or read my resume. So, I'm in the process of hacking SharePoint to allow more thorough anonymous access. For now, though, you won't be able to post comments and you might have a bit of a tricky time accessing my resume in Word format.

A SharePoint-Longhorn-Blog Thingy!

The few of you who may have stumbled across this site in the past and, for whatever reason, returned, will certainly have noticed a significant change in its appearance. What's happened? Well, I've taken the opportunity afforded by my MSDN subscription and the recent release of Windows Server 2008 to (finally) set up my own web server instead of using my ISP's. This gives me the chance to run my personal website as a SharePoint site, which is a lot more fun than a plain-'ol-HTML site. In fact, I've been a fan of SharePoint since the beta days of SharePoint 2007, and it's nice to have a little sandbox like this to play in. Time permitting, I'll see about adding some interesting features (so let me know if there's anything you'd like to see).
